I can’t believe it’s already been another week. This week wasn’t as good for me as it should have been. With my birthday and anniversary and other stuff going on, I actually missed several days. I feel bad about that, but I can’t change it now. I should have kept up with it, but I let myself slack off. All I can do now is get myself back on track.
There was some good though. I found this video: How To Stretch for Beginners, Safe Stretches for Full Body Yoga by PsycheTruth and others from PsycheTruth that helped me with my stretching. It was nice to finally see something intended for people who aren’t flexible yet. They were very helpful and I already started using what I learned.
I also thought of a way to relax more while I’m doing my routines. Since I’m not strictly following videos right now, it’s a little harder to keep an eye on how much time has gone by. I have Insight Timer on my tablet. I decided to make a preset for my yoga. I set it for 25 minutes with a single bell every 30 seconds. I hold each pose/stretch for 30 seconds, then when the bell goes off I move to the next. It worked out really well.
As soon as I get done with work today I’m going to get back at it. I think that right after work will be a good time, and it will make it harder for me to make any excuses about not doing my yoga. My body has been aching and I know that it needs the exercise. Part of my brain wants me to beat myself up for slipping, but that would be counterproductive. I’m just going to get back on track and keep moving forward.
