If you look around the internet, you’ll find thousands of love spells and people willing to perform them. Some make grand claims, such as guaranteeing to make the person you want fall in love with you forever. A very large number of the spells and services out there are designed to be used on the person you want to be involved with. Unfortunately, that kind of love spell is incredibly dangerous, and no spiritual person with any sense or decency would ever cast one.

Why, you ask? Because you should never, under any circumstances, interfere with the free will of another human being. It is wrong and should never be done. Magic that impedes the free will of an individual is not something that should be engaged in, and backfires horribly 99% of the time. Some people even consider this type of magic to be spiritual abuse or spiritual rape.

No matter how much you want love in your life, never cast spells or ask for spells to be cast on another person. You are not a god and have no right to force your desires on another person. If they don’t want you, move on. Try to imagine if someone you didn’t like tried to force you to love them. How horrible would that be? Wouldn’t you feel upset, angry, maybe even violated? If you use magic to make or even encourage someone to love you, that’s what you’re doing to them.  Even if the spell seems to work, it will only be for a short time, and in the end, the results are almost always disastrous. Try to imagine what you might do to try to stop someone who was forcing you to feel something for them. Things could get ugly or even violent.

If you want love in your life, it is perfectly acceptable to cast spells on yourself or use blanket spells that are not directed at any person in particular. For instance, a spell to open your heart and eyes to seeing your true love would be fine. A spell to attract your perfect mate, whoever they may be, would also be good. A spell to help you feel worthy of true love, or one to clear the obstacles keeping you from love would be no problem. Casting a spell of any kind on a person though, when done without their permission, is simply wrong. Don’t do it.

Now you may be wondering, if it’s wrong, why are there so many witches and spiritual practitioners offering these kinds of spells? The answer is, quite simply, that their ethics are questionable. They believe that a person has the right to take anything they want, regardless of the consequences. Some, usually those new to the use of magic, simply don’t know any better. No matter how popular these love spells may be though, they are still wrong.

You simply cannot make someone love you if they don’t want to. Obsessing over a person is unhealthy, and trying to force someone to feel something for you is unethical at the very least. Somewhere out there, there’s someone right for you. Just because you like someone, doesn’t mean you’re meant to be with them. If you feel the need for magical intervention, be sure to use spells that make you the best you can be, and feel free to use spells that clear blockages or make you more aware when your perfect partner is near. Never force your feelings on anyone else.
