I have been thinking about it for quite a while, and I’ve decided that I’m going to share my spiritual beliefs here on the blog. I follow my own path, which has a name, but not one I’ll share at this time. For purpose of discussion, I’ll call it the “Way of Universal Balance”. This is my path, and I don’t expect anyone else to follow it or believe in it. This is just my way, and I want to share it with all of you.

I was leery of doing this for a few reasons. For one, The name of those I follow is something very meaningful to me. It represents something very deep and powerful and I didn’t want it out there on the internet getting used as some species type for a lame RPG or otherwise getting maligned. For that reason, I have given a more common name to my beliefs.

Another thing that worried me was the possibility that people would think I’m batshit crazy. The truth is, a lot of people already think that, and their opinions shouldn’t really matter to me. I also worried that people would give me a hard time for not believing what they believe and tell me that I’m wrong. Again, their opinions shouldn’t really matter to me. I know what I believe in my heart, I know that I do my best to live a good life and be a good person. Anything beyond that doesn’t really matter.

So, despite the problems I may incur from doing this, I’m going to do it. I even created a new category called Spirituality so that I’d have a place to put it all. I already had spirituality-related posts that fit there anyway. I feel that in sharing a few things may happen. For one, people will get a better understanding of who I am and what I believe. I do want for people to understand me and not have the misconceptions that so many of them have about me. I also think that people may become enlightened by what I have to say. They may choose to follow my path, or they may open up to a true path for themselves. Either one would be a good thing.

So there will be posts in the future on this topic. I’m not sure how to put it all down, but I’m going to try. The truth is, I don’t have it all figured out myself. There are still many unanswered questions. As I mentioned in a couple of other posts, I’m still finding my spiritual path and sorting myself and my beliefs out from the rest of the world, and even from what I held dear in the past. Faith can change like anything else in life, so this is a journey in progress.
