There has been controversy over this topic for more years than I can recall. Some people absolutely believe in the efficacy of subliminal messages, others think it’s a crock. Some studies have shown that subliminal messages can work and have worked, while others show just the opposite. I’m not sure we’ll ever know for certain.

Personally, I’m on the fence about it. I have Subliminal Blaster installed on my computer and I usually have it running all day. I don’t use the messages that came with it, I make my own. I’ve noticed a difference in how I feel on the days when I use it, and on the days when I forget to turn it on.

Recently my computer ate my most recent, carefully crafted list of subliminal messages. I had nothing to display yesterday, and I felt odd. Today I’m using an old list, and it still doesn’t feel quite right. I hope I can remember the things I had on that recent list, because I felt better when I had that one playing all day.

Now, I don’t know if the subliminals are really helping me or not. It may just be that I’ve convinced myself that when I have SB running it will make me feel better and positively affect my day. Even if that’s all it is, it’s still not a bad thing. That part works. As for the messages, I can’t be sure. Some of the affirmations and declarations I had in the list certainly seemed to be presenting themselves in my life. Over the last year of using the program, I’d say about 70% of the messages have become reality or I’ve gotten significantly closer.

As for the other 30%, I don’t know if it’s ill-formed messages, lack of belief or some other factor that has kept me from achieving or feeling those things. I wish I knew. It it was a matter of writing different things, I’d do it in a heartbeat to make those things activate in my life. If I had to state an opinion, I’d say that I do mostly believe that the subliminal messages are having a positive effect on my life.

Have you ever used subliminal messages? Do you believe that they work? How do you form the messages? do you use “I am…”, “You are…” or just statements like “be happy” or “true love is real”?
