This is a simple little ritual that you can do each day to keep joy and happiness flowing into your life.

What you’ll need:

Some kind of small candies. I don’t recommend using anything larger than jelly beans, unless you’re okay with what that will do to your figure. If you can’t handle a lot of sugar, the little pearls that you can decorate a cake with will work perfectly well.

Put the candies in a closed container either next to your bed or in a place you’ll be sure to see them every day when you get up. When you are fully awake, take a candy, then recite the following:

Sweet within
And sweet without,
Just like candy
Joy’s all about.
Sugar sweet
and candy bright,
My life is filled
with joy and light!

Enjoy your sweet treat! Savor the feeling, the scent and the flavor. Allow yourself to smile. Carry that feeling of childlike joy and pleasure through your day.
