You’re always hearing that there isn’t enough food, enough money, enough housing and so on. It’s all a lie. We’re not running out of anything, we’re just misusing what we have.
There’s not enough food! Lie! There’s plenty of food. However, restaurants are serving portions that could feed three to one person and tossing what they leave behind. Stores are throwing away slightly old food rather than donating it to the needy. People are making “art” out of food and letting it rot. We can always grow or raise more. There’s plenty of food, we just need to quit wasting it and start sharing it.
There’s not enough money! Lie! Sure, money has no real value anymore and we print more than we could ever back, but that’s another discussion. We say we can’t afford Social Security or teachers or books or medical care. If we weren’t wasting millions of dollars on celebrities, there would be plenty. Imagine how many books could be bought for the $13 million a football player got paid this year. Imagine how many nurses, teachers and firefighters could be paid with the $24 million some actor got for doing a movie? Stop wasting it on celebrities, put it where it belongs, and there would be more than enough.
There’s not enough housing! Lie! How many ghost towns are there in the country? How many houses sit abandoned? How many buildings in general are unused and falling into decay? There’s plenty of housing. There’s space to build new housing without expanding our current footprint. People just aren’t doing it. Hell, give the homeless and low-income folks a bunch of tools and tell them they can live in the housing after they repair it. Their butts would be working like mad for that safe roof over their heads. Or take some money from the celebrities and put it into refurbishing existing housing space.
There aren’t enough jobs! Lie! There could be, companies just keep sending them to other countries because it’s cheaper and we let them get away with it. There are always jobs, and people to do them, we just need to get them back into the country.
There isn’t enough good! Lie! There is so much good and love and beauty in the world. We just don’t share it enough. We don’t act on it enough. It’s there, we just need to live it and share it. Stop letting the media turn you into a frightened, misinformed consumer robot and you’ll see there’s so much good in the world.
Scarcity is a lie. We’re not running out. We have all that we need and more. We’re just misusing it all. There’s hoarding, fear, lying, and panic, all for no reason. All we need to do is learn to use what we have properly, and we will never be without.
