As I think more about the state of the world and how to change it, I often think about the supposed “rules” of our society that don’t make sense.
Why is it illegal for a woman to go outside without a shirt, but accepted for a man, even though some men have larger breasts?
Why is it considered wrong for a person to go outside in their underwear, but accepted for them to go out in bikinis and speedos, even though underwear usually cover more?
Why is homeschooling considered weird, but allowing kids to graduate high school without being able to properly read, write or do basic math is considered normal?
Why can women wear pants or suits and no one cares, but men can’t wear skirts or dresses?
Why is alcohol legal and marijuana illegal, even though marijuana is less dangerous to your health and causes less deaths?
Why are smart people taunted and shunned but ignorant people are embraced and elevated in society?
I’m sure I could list off a ton more, but instead of doing that, I’d like all of you to chime in and tell me what you think. What “rules” of society make no sense to you? Are there “rules” that you’ve decided not to follow anymore?
