Many people fail to realize it, but what you see in the news is only a small, biased fraction of what’s going on in the world. There is so much more, and we’re not seeing it.

It’s a sad fact that most of the print and media news outlets are all owned by just a few companies. Those companies exist not to bring you the news or the truth, but to make money. They play on the fears and insecurities of the people to make that money, and to maintain people in a state that they can make money from. You’re not getting the truth, you’re getting what they want you to see.

There is so much going on in the world, but you never know about it, because the mega-news-corps don’t want you to see it. It’s not profitable. There is a huge amount of good and right in the world, but you’ll never see more than a blip here or there about it, because the news corporations don’t want you to be strong and uplifted, they want you to be scared and compliant.

Even online, much of the news on major sites is censored, cherry-picked to maintain the sheep. Indie news is about the only way to know the truth. It’s the only way to get a different point of view. The television and newspapers aren’t going to give you anything other than what they want you to see.

I’ve stopped watching the news and reading papers. Many people are doing the same. If we want to know something, we go look it up. We find other sources for information. We refuse to be sheeple.
