I’ve made mention of my desire to find and work with the hematite and gold crucifix that I had, and here it is. I finally found where I’d put it, and I decided on a selection of beads to go with it. I was going to make an actual rosary with it, but I simply didn’t have enough beads, and I’m not buying any more materials right now. I do think that this is really beautiful though. I’m really happy with the way that it turned out. It has the elegance and beauty of a rosary without actually being one. I think the earrings are pretty without being too much.
- Materials: Crucifix, earwires, clasp, quilting thread, beads.
- Stringing the first set of beads in the desired pattern.
- The initial stringing is done, time to attach the findings.
- Going back through everything for the first of four times.
- The finished necklace. Now we move on to the earrings.
- The earring is strung, ready to be finished off.
- The completed set.
I’m very happy with this set. I wish it could have been a bit different, but sometimes you just have to work with what you have and make the best of it. I am glad that I was finally able to use that pendant and turn it into something that I believe someone will really love. Eric’s going to get pictures done today and it’ll be in the shop at some point. Sorry I’m behind on listing, I’ve actually been pretty sick this week, but I’m finally starting to feel better.
