Today I’m going to be finishing up the variegated blue tablet case that I started last week. I would have done it sooner but my hands really needed a break. I probably should have snapped a new photo though, since I’ve decided not to go with the blue as the secondary color. I’m using white because it looks so much better with the variegated thread. (Variegated: one of those words that looks wrong even when you know you’ve spelled it right.)
Of course, I have to get the cat out of my lap before I can do anything. I swear she has a psychic ability that allows her to know the worst possible time to get in my lap and fall asleep. The poor little thing is wheezing too. I guess the lousy weather is messing with her too.
I’m also going to be finishing up a really pretty pair of blue beaded earrings this week. Eric’s almost done with the bead sorting, so I’ll have access to all my materials soon and I can start working on other jewelry. I have so many ideas, I’m not sure where to start!

Here’s an updated photo of the case in progress. I love the way it’s coming out. The colors look like they’re twisting around the case, which is a nice effect. I also like the way the “back” looks better than the front, so I may actually turn this inside out when I’m done and finish it off that way. The inside of the stitching looks really nice on this one.

Yes I will. I’m really loving being back into my crafting, so I’m going to be talking about what I’m working on each day. It’s nice for me to get to talk about something I love and it’s a great way to get people interested in what I’m doing before it’s posted in the shop. I’m also going to be talking about the materials and techniques that I’m using.

Great idea! As you said on Facebook, places like Michael’s are charging for videos that people could do a better job making YouTube videos for free. It’s nice to see you writing again. I’ve really missed coming here everyday.

Well thank you. I just wasn’t in the mood for the kind of writing I was doing before. I wanted to do more upbeat stuff but nothing was coming to me. Crafting and writing about it makes me happy though 🙂
