Well, it’s day 14, so here’s an update on the No ‘Poo situation. As you can see, my hair looks pretty good. I still haven’t had any issues with oiliness in my hair. It’s not getting any oilier than it ever did before. The lower part is still experiencing some dryness though. I’ve been meaning to get around to some kind of treatment to soften it up, but I keep forgetting. It does feel nice though. It may just need to grow out. I think a lot of the frizziness is actually breakage. I don’t really have split ends and my hair is pretty manageable. I can work with the frizz for now.
It’s a little hard to see in the photos, but the part at the top that’s smooth and shiny is making it’s way down my hair. I think it’s just going to take time for it to smooth all the way down. The difference between day 1 and now is pretty amazing though. Who would have thought that tossing my shampoo and conditioner for baking soda and vinegar would make my hair look so good? I can only imagine how much it would have cost to go to a salon and get treatments to make my hair this nice. And this is sustainable, unlike salon treatments. A lot cheaper too!
