What one person thinks is insane another person thinks is sane. What one person finds abnormal is normal to another. Insanity is merely a matter of perspective in most cases.
I’m not talking about the full-on, talking to invisible people, running wild in the streets kind of insanity. I’m talking about the day-to-day type. For instance, some people think skydiving is insane, but others enjoy it. Some people think religion is insane, but others find the lack of it insane. Some people think speaking your mind is insanity, while others think staying quiet is. It’s really all a matter of how you look at something.
If anyone ever tells you that you’re insane or crazy for thinking, doing or wanting something, just remember that that is only their personal perspective. There’s no way for them to prove it beyond doubt. Some of the greatest creative thinkers and inventors of the world were thought mad in the beginning. Some people thought they were batty the whole time, even after they proved their brilliance. It’s not just brilliance either, most creativity and forward-thinking is considered insane by those who don’t understand it.
Have you ever been called insane? Did you care? Do you change how you think or act based on other people’s perspective of sanity?

So true! Some people call me crazy. Others appreciate my ideas. Others don’t notice one way or the other. Like you said, it’s all about perspective and I like me, so I will continue to be me. 🙂
