brain-wikiIn this modern age, people are getting dumber by the day. We’re using text speech, watching shows that reinforce idiotic ideas and dangerous behavior, reading things that have no value and not reading books. The American, and possibly the global, IQ is dropping, and we’re just calling it “the way things go”.

We should never accept laziness, carelessness, stupidity or ignorance. Every single person should do everything they can to be the best person possible, and they should encourage the same in others. You’re never too cool, too young, too old or too wealthy to learn. You should never stop growing and becoming more.

Unfortunately, we sit back and allow the media and technology to make us dumber. We don’t encourage reading and learning. The media promotes total brain-rot on television. Abhorrent behavior and rampant ignorance are waved away as if they’re nothing. We should care more about ourselves and the world around us.

I believe that no worthy person ever stops growing, learning or trying to become better. I think it is our responsibility to educate ourselves and others. Not for our own gain, but for the good of the world at large. Education should be of greatest importance, not just for children, but for people of all ages. Knowledge should be freely available, freely given, and shared as much as possible.
