My method for making a cleansing/protecting tincture:

1 small bottle of vodka
sage, rosemary, salt, lavender and cayenne

Add herbs to the bottle and shake well. Think about the intention of the tincture. It is meant to remove negativity and protect the person or item from future negative input. Cleanse and charge the liquid near a selenite or under the full moon. Both if you can. Store near selenite to keep it pure. It becomes more powerful the longer it sits. Shake gently before each use.

I use this for house blessings, anointing/removing negativity from myself, and for cleansing ritual items and spaces. I also pull it out from time to time and focus on its purpose, thereby re-charging it and adding to its power.
