I love having a great image on my desktop. Usually I have a rotation of inspiring images that changes every few minutes, but sometimes I also like a static wallpaper. A while back I got to thinking, beautiful images a nice. Inspiring messages are nice. What if you could combine the two? And hey, since I’m not your usual kind of gal, I thought, why not mix subliminal messaging in there too?

So, after playing around a bit in PhotoShop, I came up with some wallpapers for you to enjoy. I had a good time making these. I liked looking at the images and choosing what would be on each one. I also got to use some of my artistic skills, which have been getting rusty from disuse. I really hope you like them.

This is the first wallpaper I made. I love the look of this scene, it’s peaceful and yet the water has a kind of power to it. I love the colors. There are 8 inspirational words hidden in the image: Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion, Beauty, Hope, Abundance and Health.	Here’s my second one. I’ve actually used this public domain image for a different piece of work, and I remembered that I really liked it. It’s a bit more feminine, but I love the color, it makes me think of a sunrise. Like the first wallpaper, there are 8 words hidden within the flowers: Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion, Beauty, Hope, Abundance and Health.

This one is a bit different from the other two, partly because i wanted to see if I could pull it off and partly because I just like variety. Instead of the 8 words (Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion, Beauty, Hope, Abundance and Health) being hidden in various places around the image, they’re actually repeated again and again over the entire image.

I think subliminal wallpapers are a really neat idea. It’s believe that we fall victim to subliminal images and messages in print advertising, so why not use the same principles to enforce something good into our minds instead? Whether you look for the words and know where they are or just accept that they are there and bringing those ideas into your mind, either should have the desired effect. Even if you don’t really believe in subliminal messages, they’re still really nice wallpapers.
