All too often people let a small defeat keep them from moving forward. at the first sign of resistance they walk away and never accomplish what they set out to do. Instead of letting failure stop you, you could be using it to drive you forward.
Do you have any idea how many times I failed at publishing my books before I finally got them out on the market? I tried printing and marketing them myself, I tried soliciting publishers, I tried working with other authors then I finally ended up self-publishing. Even that came with many failures before my books started to sell. Instead of letting the failures get to me, I used them to drive me on.
If there’s something that you want to do or be, you can’t let anything stop you. If you try something and it fails, don’t get discouraged. Instead, you need to examine that failure. What went wrong? Did you do something wrong? Did you take the wrong route? Did you encounter someone or something that was working against you? Take a good look at why and how you failed and learn from it. Every mistake is a lesson that you can use in the future.
Don’t allow a setback to get in the way of your future. If you have a dream, go for it! Keep working at it until you accomplish it. It’s easy to get depressed and give up, but you’ll never get anywhere doing that. and remember, even if it seems the whole world is against you and no one is supporting you, if it’s what you want, it’s worth fighting for.
Remember to use every failure and misstep as a lesson. You can sometimes learn more from what went wrong than what went right. And just because you’re met with some resistance, that doesn’t mean that you’re not meant to accomplish your dream. Some things flow like water, and some things are an uphill battle, but all are worth trying for if you have a fire in your soul for it.
Don’t be defeated by resistance and stumbles. Pick yourself up and keep going. You’ll never know what you’re capable of if you give up at every turn. As they say, quitters never win and winners never quit.
