Sometimes when I’m writing or going through my day it occurs to me how many people out there probably think I’m a little off my nut. I believe in magic and the god within us. I believe that my faith is what cured my incurable ailments. I believe that my faith in my work is why my earnings keep rising. I believe that if I can get my head in the right place and combine thought with faith, I can overcome the obstacles in my life and achieve anything. To many, that sounds like a lot of crazy hocus-pocus thinking.
Fortunately, other people’s lack of belief or understanding doesn’t have an affect on what I believe unless I let it. Someone else not understanding or disliking or not believing the way I think and live doesn’t make the things I see as truth any less true. For me, everything I believe is true, and no amount of talk from a non-believer will sway me, especially in instances where I’ve seen actual proof in my life.
I’d be lying if I said that I never feel a little bit crazy in my own beliefs. When much of the world has an opposite way of thinking, it can make you wonder now and again. However, when I think like they do, it feels wrong. It doesn’t resonate in my heart. My own beliefs do, and so I hold onto them. I believe that if it feels right, it probably is. I do think logically and temper everything with common sense, but I also hold on to the wonder and magic and possibility that I believe exists.
For many it can be hard to break free from the mass thinking. “Everyone else is thinking it, so it must be true.” But that isn’t the way things work. You need to use your head, but you also need to listen to your heart. The more you do, the more you become able to find your own truth, the one that resonates within you, lifts you up and brings miracles into your life.
So while some may love and believe me and others may dislike and disbelieve me, I still hold to what’s true in my heart. Another’s disbelief doesn’t change what’s real for me. I believe that when we find that place where we break free of what others believe and find our own true path, we open ourselves up to an amazing new world of miracles and possibility.
