Nobody Really Knows What Comes Next

Death isn’t something that most of us like to think about, but the topic is bound to come up. Especially with the world being what it is today, a lot of people are starting to wonder if they’re living their lives right, and truly thinking about what might come next.

No one knows the true answers when it comes to the afterlife, if there is one. All that any of us can do is be our best selves and hope for the best.

You Really Only Have One Life

No matter what you may believe, you really only have one life. You have just this one life that you’re experiencing right now. Even those who believe in reincarnation will generally agree that once you move on, you won’t remember your past lives. It’s a new start. You may carry some information from the past, but it’s not going to be clear to you. Every life will feel like it’s the only one.

With that in mind, we have to act like this is all we’ve got. You have to love when you can, laugh when you can, have experiences when you can. Whether it all ends at death or we move on, we’re not likely to know. We can’t go through life believing that if we miss out in this life, or mess up in this life, we’ll get another chance later on.

I also feel that what we do in this life matters to this world. In the here and now, you have an effect that may last for days, or for generations. The kind of person you are may well have consequences or benefits long after your body is gone. Whether you’re rich and can give generously, or poor and can give modestly, we can all do things to make ourselves and our world a better place. If death means we just become worm food, then we should be certain to make the most of our days while we’re alive, and try to make a mark worth remembering, even if it’s only on one other being.

Develop A Strong Soul

I believe that one of the most important things that we can do is to develop a strong soul. If death is the end and you just go back to earth and dust, your energy does get recycled. It may as well be good energy. If you believe that we go back to source, we should send the source something good, rather than something awful. If we get to live again, we should try to set ourselves up for the best next life that we can.

When I say we should work on developing a strong soul, I mean that we need to work on being the best people that we can be. Whether you’re rich or poor in money or possessions won’t matter, but being rich or poor of spirit might. If you live your life being hateful and hurtful, or giving up at every turn, you’re not going to have a strong soul. What’s within you may not hold together in the next life, or provide any value to the universal source. If you try to live a life of learning, love and spiritual growth, you can send something beautiful into the universe when you pass on.
