I like bats, skulls, dark clothes, Victorian stuff, horror movies and I prefer night to day. These are things that make me happy. And contrary to what some people think, I’m a good person and there’s nothing seriously mentally wrong with me.
I wish the world would wake up and realize that the world takes all kinds. Not everyone likes the same things. Person A who likes bunnies, sunny days, daisies and egg salad sandwiches is not better than Person B who likes black cats, moonlight nights, nightshade and fried meal worms. Nor is Person B better than Person A. They’re both people with different likes and dislikes.
You can’t tell whether someone is a good or bad person by the way they dress or what they like most of the time. I mean sure, if they’re in a white robe and hood or they really love burning religious icons, then they’re not good people. Most of the time though, you just can’t tell. Just because someone is into dark or “weird” things doesn’t make them a bad person. I’m pretty awesome, just so you know. I’m the kind you’d really want as a friend or ally.
So don’t judge people by how they look or what their interests are. Unless they’re doing something dangerous or illegal, assume that they’re cool until you get to know them and maybe learn they’re not.
I’m a good, happy person, and I intend to keep adding to my skull collection, buying dark clothes and being weird. If you judge me wrongly, it’s your loss.
Have you been wrongly judged based on your style or interests? Do you judge others based on how they look without knowing them?
