I’m not sure why I did it. Maybe it’s because of how awful I’ve been feeling, and my desperate yearning to feel something else. Maybe it was just because I wanted to be able to share someone’s post. Maybe I lost my mind. Whatever the reason, I decided to share and participate in a 24-hour no complaining challenge.

Not complaining out loud isn’t that hard when I’m working, so the last couple hours have been easy as far as that goes. I have had to shut off the complaining and negativity in my head, but I’ve been handling that fairly well. Later when I’m out of the office and dealing with other people’s negativity it may be harder, but I’m going to try my best. I probably made it harder on myself by telling myself that I’d also try to refrain from any negative speech, but if you’re going to go for something, you may as well go all the way.

I don’t have much else to say today. I’m rather wiped from all the book work, but I’m glad that I’ve been able to get so much done. I made Eric laugh when I told him that the main reason I worked so hard to get 19 Years out was because I wanted the world to see his great cover art. As for what’s next, I’m not sure. Tomorrow I’m going to have to look around and see what I have on the Hard drive, and what, if any of it, can be turned into a new book.

Here’s the breakdown of my day:

  1. Got my Bing, Bonanza and MyPoints credits
  2. Shared some content from other bloggers
  3. Added blog posts
  4. Got rid of all the LinkShare ads on the site
  5. Updated a bunch of posts with Zazzle affiliate designs
  6. Added some new connections on FaceBook
  7. Interacted on social networks
  8. Saw an increase in Zazzle linkovers*
  9. Found a nice Buddhist chant to listen to while working (Om gam ganapataye namaha, for clearing obstacles and purifying.)*
  10. Got 2 new poems transcribed and scheduled on the blog
  11. Got two free samples in the mail*
  12. Formatted the last 200 pages of 19 Years
  13. Proofread 19 Years
  14. Disovered that I have a fan on Google+*
  15. Promoted an item from Bonanza
  16. Promoted 3 items from Zazzle
  17. Published 19 Years, 400 Poems in print
  18. Reformatted the book for digital, four times
  19. Managed to stay calm while trying to sort out when the heck Lulu didn’t like about the file I was uploading*
  20. Published 19 Years, 400 Poems in ePub
  21. Pushed the book out to Nook, iTunes, Kobo and Kindle

*Items with asterisks are positive things that have happened during the day.*
