I just want to give a shout out to all the non-US writers on Bubblews, Persona Paper and other writing sites who are going legit, following the rules, and learning English so they can participate. You are awesome people!
Some people have bad impressions of other cultures because there are a lot of bad apples. Filipino and Indian people often get a bad rap because so many from their countries are spammers and scammers. It’s sad, but it happens. But those of you who are doing the right thing have the ability to turn the tide and show your people in a better light.
It may take a little work to read a post by a non-US writer who’s obviously struggling with English, but I think it’s worth it. They’re trying. Unlike the bad apples of their society, they are trying their best to follow the rules, learn one of the most difficult languages on the planet, and contribute good content. My hat goes off to them.
If you’re a non-US writer and you’re trying to be a valuable writer here, good for you! You have my support. Keep doing what you’re doing. Make sure the rest of the world sees that there are good people among you. Make sure your own people see that you can follow the rules and still make money. You might not realize what power you have to activate change, but you have a lot. You can be a shining light to your nation and help stop some of the spam and scam activity that so shames your cultures.
So I applaud those of you doing the right thing. Keep writing, keep learning English, keep being a beacon of change.
