Well, there’s my latest project. Sorry for the photos being so yellow, the camera hates me. They’re really pretty though. I love the way that they came out. I had a bin of amber colored beads (on the back of the earring) and there wasn’t enough to do much, so I thought this would be a perfect use for them. Combined with the gold beads and those antique roses, I think it all looks really nice. I haven’t done any wrapping in a while, but I picked back up on it as if I’d never stopped. And I got to use my new jig to shape the copper base wire. [smiles]

So there’s the WIP. I’m amazed that even with needing to stop to take photos these only took me 45 minutes. I can do wrapping like this pretty fast once I get in the groove of it. The first earring took longer because I needed to figure out how many beads would fit in the space and I had to get my fingers to cooperate as far as getting the wrapping, turn and spacing right. I pretty much flew through the second one. Once I was done, I was hungry though.

Yes boys and girls, grown-ups actually eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by choice. Sometimes I just feel like something comforting and familiar. Not to mention something easy, because I really wanted to get back in here, blog about this project, and then try to make something else before it gets too late. With any luck there may be days where there’s more than one project post.
