The last two weeks have been quite a challenge. If you were already following the blog you probably noticed, but if not, let me tell you, it was a very long two weeks.

On November 19th I decided to stop writing for Bubblews. They were the best paying site I’d ever worked for and I met a lot of great people, but there were many reasons why I decided it just wasn’t the right fit for me anymore. I made it known that I was leaving, then I started moving all of my posts from there to here, and deleting them from their site. I moved more than 1300 posts in just two weeks. It was mind-numbing work, but now I finally have control over all my own content. I think that while difficult, it was the right choice.

I’m not going to lie, the decision to leave Bubblews was a scary one. Many people are facing the same issues that I did, and some even worse, but they’re holding on because they fear the change or the loss of income. I was afraid of both, but I decided that all of the things going wrong on that site were a clear sign that I needed to make a change. I’d already played with the idea in the past, but the universe seemed to be telling me quite clearly that it was high time to buck up and make the change.

I was really stressed for the first few days as I formulated a plan for exactly what I was going to do and how. My stomach was in knots when I deleted my first article from Bubblews. I knew though, somewhere deep down, that no matter how scary it was, I was doing the right thing. I kept myself moving forward by holding onto the knowledge that once I was done with the migration I’d have full control over my own content, much more earning potential, and complete freedom to write anything I want. The second week was the hardest, as I was getting rather burned out from all the copying, pasting, formatting and posting. I pushed on knowing that today would be the start of a bright new future. What I write from now on is all mine, and it will build me the life that I desire.

I’m going to miss the people that I got to know on Bubblews, but many of them have agreed to join me here. I am eternally grateful for the confidence and the connections that Bubblews brought to me. I became known and respected, and that puts me in a good place to move forward on my own. There’s a little bit of doubt circling in the back of my mind, but it’s being pushed aside by the thoughts of all the good that can and will come from this endeavor. I’m sure those last doubting voices will disappear soon as I move forward, getting back to writing and doing what I love.

Making a big change in life, especially when it comes to how you make money, can be incredibly nerve-wracking and scary, but sometimes you have to set aside the fear, look at everything that’s going on, and realize that the change is necessary. I saw a quote yesterday on a blog, and it seemed perfect, al things considered:

“Let go of the old; it’s the only way to create space for the successful new. You cannot reach out to new truths about how to succeed with one hand while clinging to old beliefs about failing with the other. If you desperately cling to what is old and familiar, you strongly resist all that is fresh and new.” – Rob White

So things are going to be tight for a while, but I have faith that this is going to be the right choice and turn out to be even better than writing for other sites ever was. I appreciate the support and encouragement that I’ve gotten from my Bubblews friends, and I hope that everyone who reads this blog will read, comment, share and help me become the success that I’ve always wanted to be. And for any of you out there who have this nagging feeling that it might be time to move on, you may want to listen to it. The universe gives you signs, and you need to pay attention to them. Be brave, it may just lead you to the life you’ve always wanted.

I’ve been sticking with BUBBLEWS a little longer, even though the views are way down. I’m going to keep posting things there long as they keep paying me. But I’m posting the content on my own website, as well. They don’t seem to care, so far, but my sites aren’t monetized yet. Since I’m making so little there now anyway (about $3-4 a day), once I monetize I can simply leave the site.

But you had good reasons for leaving and a huge and solid archive of content to bring with you. I believe that your site should in time make a lot more than you got on BUBBLEWS. Good luck!

Thank you Samson. Hopefully things will build quickly for both of us.

I applaude your choice to move from Bubblews. I’m sure your blog will be a success.

      Thank you very much Nona.

Now BUBBLEWS has announced that on December 14th, they will be changing the minimum payout from $25 to $50. It was getting harder to be paid already – now it’s going to be twice as bad. Time to start building my traffic to our own sites! You picked the perfect time to go!

I’m glad I listened to my gut and left when I did. I wish you much success with your sites. and just so you know, if you or any other Bubblers want to write guest posts, I’ll be happy to have them and link them to your other sites to help you get some traffic and interest.

I’ll keep that in mind 🙂
