Picture this: You make a meal and you’ve done it to perfection. Now you take some of it, put it into a box about as big as a microwave. Push a few buttons and the wondrous device studies, scans and stores everything about your delicious meal. Fast forward a month. You’ve got a craving for that awesome something again. Instead of cooking from scratch you put a bunch of ingredients into a machine and a few moments later out pops a dish or perfectly prepared food.

Wouldn’t that be nice? I bet if anyone ever invented something like that they’d be the biggest selling device since the refrigerator. I mean, who wouldn’t want the convenience of being able to prepare a meal once, let the machine analyze it, then being able to replicate that dish perfectly any time you want?

If I had something like that, I would be cooking up a storm! I’d cook everything I know how to make so the machine could catalog it. I’d dig out every recipe and remember every concoction. I’d have Eric and mom and everyone else I know make their best dishes and bring them over to be logged in the device’s memory.

I can just imagine being able to have Eric’s chili, mom’s biscuits, Tony’s cookie balls, Shoe’s “Shoe pie”, Cheryl’s pineapple upside down cake and ginger cookies, dad-in-law’s Thanksgiving dressing, all at a moment’s notice. How wonderful! And as long as the device was kept up, you’d never have to worry about wasting food from improper prep or burning. And when family or friends come over, they could all get perfect, identical portions of food!

Unfortunately, such technology isn’t available to us yet. but, a girl can dream!
