I haven’t written daily updates on this, so I figured I should do an update. I haven’t stopped doing my daily yoga, I just couldn’t figure out how to make it interesting enough to write about every day.
I’m still trying to get my body limber enough to be able to do the routines properly, so I’ve just been practicing the same basic routines over and over again and doing a lot of stretching. I wish I could say that I’m able to twist and bend like a lovely pretzel, but I’m not. I still have a long way to go.
I did my routines every day except yesterday, because I was just too sick. I’m going to get back at it today. I really need to, and my body is telling me so. Every time I take a day off I end up getting achy and my joints get all crunchy. I think my body wants the movement and the strength building. I really do want to get stronger and more flexible.
I wish I could convince my brain that I have more time in the day. If I could, I’d start doing them twice a day. I’d probably get more results faster if i was spending more than 10-15 minutes a day at it. I have noticed some results though. My waist has gotten smaller and my thighs have gotten firmer. I’m not doing any other exercise or anything, so it has to be from the yoga. That makes me feel good, because I’m actually seeing something happening to my body as a result of the time I’m putting in.
Until I get good enough to be able to do a lot of different routines, I’ll probably just be doing a once weekly update. I honestly can’t figure out how to make it engaging enough to post about every single day right now. However, if I change something up or notice something worth mentioning, I’ll do an additional update and let everyone know. I want to have at least one post a week though, because I don’t want people to think that I’ve given up on the routines. Of all the things I’ve tried to do for health and fitness, this is one that I really feel like I can and will stick with.
