I’m so glad Eric was able to get one clear shot of this, because it’s so cute. Jynx loves her mommy. Sometimes too much. It’s pretty common for her to get into my lap while I’m sitting here working. It’s also fairly common for her to make it really hard for me to type.

she likes to have her paw or her head, or both, over one of my arms. she then disengages the anti-gravity setting and becomes the heaviest thing ever. it’s adorable, but it’s also very annoying. Lucky for her, i adore her and the cute part always wins. I’ll tolerate her being like that until it starts to hurt, then I’ll slide her down off my arm.

The second shot is a bit blurry, but that’s her down in my lap trying to still have her head on my arm. She really wanted to get back up. She has this weird attraction to dangling off of people’s arms and knees. it must be great for her, but not so much for us. We love her though, and we have to admit that it’s pretty darn cute.

It’s times like this that despite the annoyance, I’m really glad to have her. The street cat that adopted us. She really did just walk into the house one night and refused to leave. We’d been feeding her mom and the other local strays for a while and they wanted no part of indoors, but this little furball came right in and stole our hearts, along with our laps and sofa. [grins]

I think more people should try to adopt strays. Why buy a kitty mill cat when you can give a loving home to a cat that needs one? We would have taken in more than one if we could have, I can tell you that. Almost all of the pets that I’ve had over the years were adopted. Stoli was store bought, but he’s one of the few pets that was. I have always preferred to either take in strays or adopt from a shelter. These fur and feather babies need love too, and they can really be wonderful. Jynx is a sweet blessing and we really love her.
