I’m really not feeling well today. The changes in the weather are wreaking havoc on my sinuses, so I have a headache and pressure that’s actually making my teeth hurt. For some reason I also have heartburn and an upset stomach. Normally I’d go into the office and soldier on through my day in misery, but today I decided to treat myself better for once. So I took the laptop into the bedroom and I’m going to work, but I’m also going to take it easy. Hopefully I’ll feel better faster if I treat myself right for a change.
This isn’t the best setup, but working from home does afford me the ability to work from bed on a day like this. I’m glad we got the laptop fixed too. It’s slow and small, but at least I have it. I can sit in here with some coffee and water and Hell’s Kitchen on the TV. It’s an old TV, but at least there’s cable in here, so I’m thankful for that. Having it on makes me feel like I’m not alone back here.
One unfortunate thing is that the bird loves mommy. How is that bad? He decided that he had to come over to the bed and keep me company, which means he’s wandering all over the place chewing on everything. He’s trying to chew the board I have the laptop on, the corner of the laptop, the power cord, the sheets, and pretty much everything else. He squeals and birdy-curses at me every time I try to shoo him away. The only real plus to him being over here is that he’s not sitting on his cage screaming.
I’m also grateful that I have Eric . He’s agreed to help me take it easy, he’s even going to make both lunch and dinner. He’s going to make me quinoa and asparagus for lunch and southwest chicken for dinner. How awesome is it to not only have a hubby that will cook for you when you’re sick, but will cook you awesome from-scratch, healthy meals? It’s pretty awesome.
Heh, now Stoli has decided to sing to me. He’s so cute. Anyway… I’m going to try to get some work done. I don’t want to fall behind, but I’m not sure how much I can work today. I don’t usually do very many reviews, but I was thinking that I might do a few because it doesn’t take the same kind of thought that writing my other content does. If all else fails, I can fill the rest of the day with poetry.
