What malarkey! There are plenty of people in the world who have gone from rags to riches, or at least from rags to really stable and happy. That old saying “The rich get richer and the poor get poorer” is just something they say to try to keep people down.
Every year my success grows, and while I’m far from rich, I’m steadily and rapidly moving toward stable, and i believe that wealthy is within my grasp. Loads of people have gone from nothing to so much something. Sometimes they get lucky, but most of the time it’s a combination of hard work and faith. For some people it’s a battle, for some it flows, but the fact is, plenty of people have done it before, and more can do it in the future.
Poverty as most know it is a mentality more than anything. I’m not talking about people in third world countries, I mean other people, like most Americans. They could find ways to earn money, they could put their talents out into the world, they could learn more and they could become more. They just don’t want to. They expect life to be delivered to them on a silver platter, or they’re mired in their own self pity and the false belief that there’s nothing they can do to be in a better place than where they are now.
There is no limit to the amount of wealth, both monetary and spiritual, than any of us can attain. We can do as much as we believe we can. We just have to want it and go after it. I’ve been scary poor in my life, but it keeps getting better. I work at it, I want it, and I’m making it happen. I’m better now than I was last year, and I’ll be better next year than this one. Wealth is really all about your state of mind and the power of your will.
Don’t let anyone tell you that because of your family, your gender, nationality, the neighborhood you grew up in, the school you went to or anything else, that you can’t be wealthy and amazing. There’s more than enough money in the world, and you can get your piece of the pie if you have the faith and determination to go after it.
