I am completely in love with my mineral makeup, so here’s a review of the brand I’ve been buying.
Name: IQ Natural medium sample kit with 5 piece brush set
What you get: Setting powder, bisque concealer, 2 foundations, bronzer, 2 blushes and 2 eyeshadows
Price comparison: The sample kit is $12.96, the large kit is $24.96 (from Amazon). This is the first thing that I love about this product. A Bare Minerals brand kit that only includes 2 foundations, concealer and finishing powder with 2 brushes costs $43.99. You get a lot more from the IQ Natural kits for a fraction of the cost.
Size: Even the sample kit is a ton of makeup. You need so very little to make your face look beautiful that they’ll last for many months even if you wear makeup every day. The blushes and eyeshadows will last for ages. The large kit is probably enough to last me for a year.
Quality: The brushes are pretty good quality. The makeup itself is very good. I’ve happy with the way it looks, smells and the way it goes on.
Color: My one word of warning on this product is to buy a kit that’s a shade darker than you think you need. I have light skin but the Light kit was too pale even for me. I had to buy Medium and it’s perfect. One up-side to mineral makeup though is that you can mix the powders to get a totally perfect shade. I mixed a custom color when I got my large kit.
Overall: I adore this stuff. It’s super easy to apply once you learn how and I can go from plain to amazing in just a few minutes. It looks totally natural and actually seems to improve the condition of my skin.
I love the fact that once it’s on, it’s on. I can sweat, rub my face, change my clothes, and it doesn’t run or smudge. I actually use the black eyeshadow that came with my kit as eyeliner. I apply it with the angle brush they supply and I get eyeliner that never smudges or runs.
I’d totally recommend this to anyone looking into mineral makeup who doesn’t want to pay the insane price of the big name stuff. I’ve already bought 2 kits of IQ Natural and will buy more.
Note: I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this review.
