I Am an Awesome Goddess
I’m sure you’ve all seen me joke about how I’m the Zen Goddess of Wisdom and Enlightenment, or just generally about being a Goddess. It’s partly joking and partly not.
All things considered, I am pretty amazing. I’ve been through the fires of hell and come out the other side like a phoenix from the ashes. I have my bad days, but name a deity that hasn’t. At least I haven’t caused any floods or plagues or turned people into giant spiders because I was in a mood one day.
The truth is, sometimes we have to remind ourselves of how amazing we are. Maybe you even go a little overboard, so long as it’s in fun and not straight up conceit. You just need to remember that you’re awesome. You have skills, you’ve been through hard times, you’ve loved and learned and lost and grown and it’s all wonderful. So are you. So am I.
Some people never earn the right to brag though. They stay these stagnant, broken people their whole lives. Of course, with a little encouragement on their good points, they have the option of becoming awesome, they just need to choose to do it. Some though have totally earned the right to strut like a peacock, reveling in their own glory once in a while.
Plus, I believe that the higher power is in all of us and we are part of it, so in a way, we are all gods and goddesses. If we’re living our lives correctly we’re earning the right to take pride in that part of god within us. It’s not necessarily an insult to the higher power to see yourself that way. If you’re embracing and living by that part, growing to become closer to The One, then it’s a good thing.
Of course, I do have a bit of a dark streak, and I’m not ashamed of it. I actually would like to have servants and worshipers. Some days I’m certain that I should have been a queen or a deity. Maybe I was in a past life. My dreams keep telling me I was. So why not have some fun with it? Any and all of you are free to come to me bearing gifts and promises of servitude. I’m all good with that. [flashes evil smile]
In all seriousness though, sometimes I just need to remember who I am so I can overcome the garbage in the world and keep moving forward with my mission of speaking truth and helping the world. Whatever it takes, right?
