More and more often it seems that Watching television is not something that we want to spend our time doing. The thing is, we’re not sure what else to do with our time together in the evenings.

For so long we would watch television shows or movies in the evenings, but the shows are boring us and we want something better to do with our few hours alone in the evenings other than staring at the TV. We want to use our time better, but now we’re kind of stuck trying to figure out things we can do.

We like reading, but that’s not really a together activity. There aren’t many two-player same-screen video games out there that are in genres we like, so the xBox is kind of useless. I’ve seen board games as a suggestion, but we don’t have that many. We may have to look and see if there’s anything that’s good for two players.

Sometimes we can look at things online together, but outside of Foamy or ogling the latest Monster High dolls, I can’t think of much we can do in that arena. We roleplay sometimes, but Eric’s not always in the mood to run a game, and I’m not a GM.

So, what kinds of things can a couple do at home if they’re not watching TV? I know there are quite a few of you out there who have given up on television, what do you do with your partner for entertainment? (And don’t go *there*! We can’t do that for 5 hours a night every night!)
