I’m finally almost there. I can actually see the end of the road, and it’s a beautiful thing!
After two years of struggling, I am now a mere 6.4 pounds away from my goal weight of 120. It’s been a hard road, but I’m finally almost at the end of it. I’m really happy that I’ve finally gotten almost all of the extra weight off.
A couple years ago I got sick and I was under a lot of stress, and I ballooned up to over 150 pounds. I was very unhappy and that added more stress. it’s taken a lot of time and work to get the weight off. I’m not one of those lucky people that can shed weight like water. However, I refused to give up. I wanted my healthy weight back, and I’m finally almost there.
I’ve decided that 120 should be a good weight for me. I know that by today’s foolish standards that’s probably still considered fat, but I don’t care. Medically speaking, 115-130 is healthy for my height and bone structure, so 120 sounds like a good place to be. That should also fit me back into my favorite pants, which I’m very excited about.
One thing I’m not looking forward to is shopping for new clothes after I hit my target. Women’s sizes are so insane now. I have old pants that fit me now that say 6, but newer ones that fit and say 10. By the time I get to a store, I’ll probably have to buy a 12. I’ll just have to remember that sizes are arbitrary and foolish and just look for what fits with no thought to the numbers. I think if anyone asks me what size I am from now on, I’m just going to respond “Happy!”. After all, what better size is there to be?
