If you take the time to chew your food well, enjoy the flavors and slow down when eating, it does several things for your body. Chewing properly lets you get more flavor, and it also helps digestion when it reaches your stomach. Slowing down lets you experience the food more and allows your body time to process the food. So, it’s simple, but it works.
The reason that can help you lose weight is because when you eat slowly and enjoy not only can your body process the food better, you feel full without eating as much. When you scarf down your food like you’re on a timer you don’t get satisfied. Your body has a hard time digesting and your brain thinks you haven’t had enough.
Not to mention, food is something that should be enjoyed. It’s not just fuel that you pack in at warp speed. Food is amazing. There are so many flavors and textures and aromas to experience. I firmly believe your should always try new foods whenever you can, and take the time to truly enjoy them. Eating can be a wonderful experience and a great part of life, instead of a way to get energy or a way to get fat.
