Beads Pliers Crafting Tools - Image: Public Domain, PixabayI’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I think I need a change of pace for a while. I really miss being crafty, so I want to get back to my jewelry for a bit. Now, I already have a huge inventory that I need to unload, but I’m going to be working on that as well.

Working on my Bonanza Shop means that I won’t be doing as much writing, but I’m okay with that. I need to switch off the writing part of my brain for a while and re-engage the crafting centers, at least for a little while. So, instead of writing I’m going to be adding items to the shop, which you can view here: BrianaDragon’s Bonanza Shop.

I’d love it if you could share that page or any of the individual items around. The sooner they get sold and go to happy homes, the sooner I can put up more in their place and actually start making new items. I may make some new stuff anyway, because I really need to keep my skills up. What I’d really like is to sell off all the old inventory so that I can afford to buy some better materials and make some higher quality jewelry.

Which makes me think, if any of you out there have done wire, bead or jewelry work and you’re destashing, I’d be totally grateful for any donations. I actually have fun turning other people’s leftover craft supplies into cool stuff. Which reminds me, I have a box or plastic beads I need to turn into something good. I don’t usually work with plastic, but I’m sure there’s a way to make it look nice and turn those materials into something that someone would love.

You know, that’s what I actually think about most with my jewelry. I want to get it into the hands of someone who will love it. I want every piece to be owned by someone who will think it’s super special and adore having it. I want someone to smile when they wear it. I may never see it personally, but every time I sell a piece, I imagine that it’s being totally loved by whoever bought it, and that makes me happy.

As for the writing, I’ll do it when it strikes me. I’ll also post animal facts and poetry here and there as well.

In other news, I’m really working on trying to be happy and make the life I want. I’m having some trouble, but I’m getting there. It’s a work in progress. I’m working on my head and heart, and my body too. I started a new exercise routine to go along with everything else. Maybe I’ll talk about it all at some point, when I’ve got everything sorted in my head.

I tried using Bonanza once back when I think it was called something else. I was trying to sell some trading cards on it. Never made a sale, and my account got wiped out for some reason. Maybe I’ll get back onto it again.

It used to be called Bonanzle. I made a few sales there but then everybody and their brother was saying how amazing Etsy was, so I focused there instead. As it turned out, I paid a bunch in fees to Etsy and only ever made one sale. I figured I’d try Bonanza again since they don’t charge until you make a sale, and the fees aren’t bad.

Yeah, I tried it when it was Bonanzle and when they changed the name I got locked out of my account for some reason. I just recovered it the other day, actually. As for Etsy, it seems it works for some, but unless you make a bunch of sales it ends up costing you more than you get out of it. There’s literally nothing to lose on Bonanza, which is awesome.

I just discovered another cool thing at Bonanza. If you raise the % commission you’re willing to give them, they’ll promote your stuff for you. 3.5% is the standard, but at 6% they put my stuff in Google Shopping and TheFind. You can go higher and even get your stuff on eBay. They only get paid if they can sell my item, so that’s pretty cool.
