After a long time of just letting them go, we’ve decided that we’re going to be working on the Zazzle and CafePress shops again. Art is part of who we are and what we do, so it’s about time that the shops got updated.
Initially we’re going to be focusing on the Zazzle shop, since that’s our most popular one, and because Zazzle has better products than CafePress. We’re going to be redoing our product template, then we’ll be adding new products to existing designs as well as adding new designs to the shop.
I’ve already started the process in a way. Every time a design sells, I add a new product to that design. We’re currently working on a new template that will allow us to do even more. At some point in the future we hope to have a much wider selection in all of the designs.
If you go to the Zazzle shop and there’s a design you like but it’s not on the product you want, please don’t hesitate to use the contact form in the shop (On any product page, in the “About the Design” section.) to ask me for it. I can usually add a new product in ten minutes or less, so if you want it, I can make it for you, no problem. I’ve already had a few customers contact me to put a design on new products and I do it, no questions asked. We want our customers happy.
You’ll probably also notice that there’s a new Zazzle widget over there in the sidebar. I don’t know how well it will work, but hopefully it’ll pick up the new designs and show a variety of random products from the store. If it doesn’t update properly I’ll come up with something else. Of course, you can always get to our shops using the tabs at the top of the page.
Oh, there’s one other thing I want to mention. If you’d like to to help us out and make some money for yourself too, you can join the Zazzle Affiliate program. If you’re an affiliate, you can promote any of our products (or anyone else’s) and make 15-30% commission on the sales that you drive through your blog or social networks. It’s a good way to make some side cash while helping artists like us.
I’m also promoting select categories and products from the shops on my Pinterest boards. Any of the boards with a + before the title are items from our shops. (* are pinned blog posts, if you’re wondering)
