I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard that load of horse pucky in my life. “You can’t make money doing what you love.” “You need a ‘real’ job.” “Hobbies are for fun, jobs are for money.” Yeah, I’m sure you’ve heard it too. what garbage.

Do you have any idea how many people in the world have actually turned what they love into a living? More than you think! Anyone who’s willing to step outside the ignorant confines of mass thinking will realize that you can turn any love into a living if you really want it badly enough.

A lot of famous fashion designers started off sewing in their basement because they loved it. Famous artists have started off doing paintings in their tiny apartments out of pure joy and then got discovered. Writers may publish 100 books before they hit it big, but they keep trying for the pure love of it. A little girl with a dream of racing can become a famous NASCAR driver. Someone who loves skateboarding can turn it into a lucrative touring and video game industry.

NEVER listen to anyone who says you can’t earn a living doing what you love. You follow your passion, no matter what it is! When you follow your heart, when you do what you do with love and passion, the way to live off doing it will come to you. You may even be able to figure out a path for yourself that will turn your love into a living. Don’t let anyone tell you that you need a “real” job, and that your dreams need to be relegated to hobbies or just set aside for good.

I have a dream of turning my writing and love of helping people into a living, and guess what? The money keeps growing. The pathways to more exposure and income keep opening up. It’s my bliss, and I follow it, and the world shows me where to go. That’s how it is for all those others who turned their passion into an income, and it can happen for you too.
