I’ve already seriously changed the way I eat, from canned and frozen to fresh, real food. I’ve lost 30 pounds and now I fit back into my favorite pants. I’m really happy about my progress, but I’m not done yet.
I still have a little bit of a belly and I’ve lost most of my muscle. I want to fix that. Now that the weight is out of the way, it’s time to tone, shape and build muscle and endurance. I know it’s going to be hard work, and I’m not really thrilled about it, but if I’m going to write about excuses I certainly can’t be making them. It’s the next step, and I need to take it.
I’m trying to motivate myself with my desire to be the hotness. Most people think it’s all downhill after a certain age, but I’m determined to be hotter and stronger at 40 than I was at 25. I’m already healthier and a far better person, so I believe that I can do this. I just need to make it happen. So, I’ve started working out every day.
As you can see from the screenshot there, I haven’t been really consistent with how much I do each day, but right now my goal is to do *something* every single day. I’d like to do at least 15 miles a week plus other exercises, but it’s going to take some time. Keeping these little post-its in Google Keep is helping, since I can see what I’ve done and I know that I want to get one of those up for every single day.
I also have plans for other things to improve my health and fitness. I’m really working at it. I’m constantly working on and improving from the inside, but physical health and well-being is important too, not just the mental and spiritual stuff. It’s a whole package, and I intend to have an awe-inspiring total package. [grins]
