I Want to Get More Tattoos

I have one nice tattoo and one that never got finished. I would actually like to have enough money to get the one finished, and get even more. I know there’s still a bit of a stigma attached to tattoos, especially on women, but that doesn’t change the way that I feel.

I have never understood the issue with tattoos. You decorate your car, your house, and even yourself with clothing and jewelry. Why not decorate your skin? Yes, it’s permanent, but so what? If it’s what you want and you’ve really thought about the fact that it’s probably going to be there forever, you should go for it. It’s YOUR body, do what makes you happy.

It’s always bugged me that tattoos are seen as “unprofessional” so if you ever want a suit job, you’d better not have any. It’s silly. You are who you are. If people are so distracted by your skin that they can’t pay attention to who you are, that’s their problem. THEY are the unprofessional ones, because they’re judging based on appearance.

As for me, I intend to be self-employed for the long term, this is what I want to do for a living, so I don’t give a flying frell what people think of how I look. I’d love to have more ink, and when the chance arises, I’ll be getting more. Probably more dragons. I’d also like some damask or wrought iron style work done. I have ideas for all sorts of tattoos in all sorts of places.

Just remember, if you’ve got a problem with tattoos, it’s YOUR problem, not theirs. There’s nothing wrong with a person making their body look the way they want to, it’s other people who are wrong for judging another based on their outside appearance. I’ve met plenty of tattooed folks who were better than plain skinned ones and vice versa. What a person looks like doesn’t affect who they are or what they’re capable of.
