I’m sure you’ve all noticed a theme of sorts in my posts. More often than not I’m trying to get people to think, and I’m usually expressing some sort of lesson. There’s actually a very good reason that I write the way I do.
I’ve always felt that writing should express something. A thought, a feeling, something important should be conveyed in the work. Now, there are a lot of ways to do that, and I’ve chosen one way, others may take other paths. I really enjoy getting people to think about the world around them so that they can stop being sheep and start being the kind of people that can change the world for the better.
Most people just don’t think for themselves. They have a “that’s just the way it is” attitude, and while they may complain, they’re not really thinking about the issues or doing anything to change them. I feel that by writing the things I do, I’m actually doing my part to change the world.
It gives me a great sense of accomplishment when I find that something I wrote has caused someone to think, or to act. I love knowing that I’ve helped someone heal or at least start on the path. I like knowing that I made someone feel better, or even gotten them emotional enough to finally step up and fight for change.
Sometimes I wish I could bring more humor in, but that’s just not my forte. I do the best I can with the skills I have. I try to make my work mean something. I hated working for other sites where I was forced to repeat bland facts or was encouraged to talk about celebrities and all the other things that are wrong in society. Some people may continue to write that, but I feel blessed to have the chance to write things that are important to me.
It’s sometimes difficult for me to write 10 posts a day full of wisdom or knowledge, but I do the best I can. I even try to make my “filler” have at least a little substance. I hope that over time it’ll get easier for me to get all the ideas in my head out in print to share with all of you.
