I’m sure by now all of you have read some of the Wisdom Bites series I’ve been writing. It was a huge project to take on, and it’s really blowing my mind how things are going.

Wisdom Bites was originally supposed to be a book called “A Year of Wisdom”, and it was supposed to have 365 entries. Well, I decided that I wasn’t going to do traditional publishing anymore, I was going to release all my work on Bubblews instead. Since then I’ve been releasing it bit by bit here, and the response to it has been favorable.

The part that amazes me is how much I’ve gotten done. Wanting to write 365 entries was kind of crazy, but I felt like I could do it. Then I felt like I’d bitten off more than I could chew. As it turns out, I’ve done really well. I’ve written 296 entries! That leaves me with only 69 to go. That feels like a lot, but considering how much I’ve already done, I know that I can do the rest of those entries.

It’s kind of wild thinking that some people never write than much, and for me, this series is actually just a fraction of what I’ve done in my writing career. I’ve written over 400 poems, 101 entries for the Animal Facts series, over 300 articles for Yahoo, more than 200 articles for eHow, over 400 original pieces for Bubblews, 6 full books, 3 short stories, 296 entries for Wisdom Bites, and probably other stuff that I’ve forgotten. That’s over 1700 pieces of content! If you’d asked me 10 years ago if I ever thought I’d create that much, I probably would have just laughed at you.

I know that 1700 is short of the real total, I just haven’t kept close track. I also know that as long as Bubblews is up and running and paying me, I’ll keep writing and add to that number. I’m pretty sure this qualifies me as a prolific writer. It’s pretty awesome when i take the time to think about it.

As for the Wisdom Bites series, I’m going to keep releasing the pieces that I already have written, and I’ll be finishing the rest over time. If I get inspired enough, I know I can do 15-20 in a day, I have before. I’m also going to format the rest of the animal series and get that out to you. And lord only knows how many other awesome articles will get written in the midst of all that. I love what I do, and I’m going to keep at it for as long as I can.
