Have you ever encountered someone who’s always talking about growing and becoming a better person, telling you how you should change and sounding like some guru-lite, but their actions are in complete opposition to the words they say?
If you’re going to be a better person, you have to actually do it, not just talk about it. Otherwise, you’re just a hypocrite. Nobody likes a hypocrite. As they say, if you want to talk the talk, you need to walk the walk. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t.
It’s not enough to read self-help books and watch videos and talk about the grand ideas you get from them. You need to actually take action on them. And you certainly have no place telling other people how to change and live their lives if you’re not doing it yourself. It’s like someone who sings the gospel on Sunday then sins all week. If you’re going to claim you’re living a certain kind of life, you need to actually be doing it. If you’re going to tell others to do it, you need to be doing it too.
Simple enough, right?
