Some Beautiful Weeds From My Lawn

flower- (1)Remember I was saying how I was out trying my hand at some macro photography? Well, here are some of the results.

The first image is some pretty little flowers. I have no idea what they are, but that’s true of many of these plants. It’s too bad you can’t see that they’re purple, but the sun was a little bright.
By the way, if you know what any of these are, please tell me, I’d love to know.

This is a close-up of a dandelion bud. I had never noticed that they have those little hairs all over them with sticky juices on the end. It looks pretty cool.

These are some kind of grass flower. It was really hard to get a shot of them because they kept blowing in the breeze.

I think this is skullcap, but I’m not certain. They’re neat, aren’t they?

I don’t know what these are, but they’re all over the place. It’s interesting how so many of the flowers around here are purple.

I think they call this “cow vetch”. I couldn’t get a good shot of the flower, but I think the texture of the leaves and the tiny white speckles are neat.

Some sort of weed here, but I thought the stem and the texture of the leaf were really cool.

Some chickweed up near the house. This is one of the few (if not the only) plants with a square stem. Cool, huh?

I just thought this leaf looked so cool. The shadows all around and the light hitting it like that was just so pretty.

This is the same plant as the previous image, but this one had a flower. It’s so pretty!

I really enjoyed going around and finding all the bits of beauty hiding in plain sight. I have a LOT more photos to go through, and I’ll put them up as I get time.
